North East Scot Wet beyond belief here, last October the same, probably about 6-8" of rain for the month.
If you weren't finished harvest by the last days of September thats been it game over nearly. We baled straw on Friday to get it off undersown grass but it was wet muck and we made a hell of a mess of the field.
Still the odd guy got grain to cut but its questionable if its worth the bother, battered flat and growing in the head now too.
We've bales still to move and hoping for a dry spell or a frosty spell to get them out.

Wouldn't hardly believe that two years could break the same.
Bloody fed up with it, thankfully grain isn't our main thing, buts its been savage on the land poaching with livestock too.

Very dry here too. Wonderful for getting about and continuing work that would normally come to a halt for fear of causing too much mess. I have been doing quite a bit of drainage work of late and have noticed that a number of old drains have been revealed by dark green strips of grass standing out from the rest of the sward, in places I've not previously realised there were drains. My grazier's cattle are still out, no mess at all, the tack sheep on the barley stubbles are nice and clean, the shoot can get around without creating ruts, I'd take this autumn every year!

I live in Ireland. The West of Ireland - In fact The North West of Ireland.

It’s not dry……..
aye ya no got much shelter off everything the Atlantic brings in have ya.
Meanwhile on the North East coast of Northumberland its not too bad for time of the year.
Plenty sharp hail/rain showers yest right off that north sea.
Big change in weather pattern from mid wk onwards probs hail/sleet even snow showers for the next 10days from then.
If the wet comes in from the west the cheviot hills help us a lot but if its from the north or east weve no chance.
Beast from the east was tough here.
