Vetches regrowth ability

Hi,

Just wondering if I sowed vetches early autumn (aug/sept) and mowed and baled/clamped (April).

If I direct drilled pea and barley mix would the mowed off vetches regrow?

Same question for autumn sown triticale. Mowed (after stem extension but before flag leaf) and baled/clamped, pea mix direct drilled into stubble.

Farming in Northern Ireland so risk of slots drying out is pretty low.

Thanks

If you want a good plant in the spring, hairy vetch is what you want. I did exactly what you are describing last year and was pleased with the results. It never grew back much after silaging though.
