VF tractor tyres

Why are valtra sending out tractors on the wrong tyres. I’m sure every manufacture is doing the same .
Up till very recently Michelin had very limited choice of tyres for this type of tractor, they basically had the Machxbib or the Xeobib. The Xeobib are a great tyre and people chanced them on bigger tractors hoping that with mixed work they would get away with them, but a T254 is pushing it.
Tyre manufacturers have been caught out a bit with the growth of tractor Hp, weight and speed.
It was very uncommon to have 270hp tractors doing road work a few years ago, let alone having them doing 60kph.

Just resurrecting this thread. Currently speccing tyres on a 200hp tractor doing 800 hrs per year. Mainly top work / drilling and mowing/ tedding/ baling wth some trailer work upto 10 miles from base. Previous tractor had 650 multibibs which were 65% worn at 5000 hrs. Are VF tyres worth the extra in that scenario? Currently looking at 650/75 38 Mach X bibs or Trellebourgs on the rear, 600 65's on the front

For top work I’d say absolutely yes worth considering. Personally I won’t have another set of trelleborgs on the farm after wearing a set out in under 2000hrs (not all road work either!) Currently 1 set of Michelin and 1 set of Bridgestone on frontline machines, I’d add Bridgestone to your list of contenders
