Come back XM108, all is forgiven....
A great tyre, but it has to be remembered that in the main they were fitted to sub-150hp 40K tractors.Come back XM108, all is forgiven....
You make it sound like only the dealer ever checks the tyre pressures. What’s a load of bull, as you can see the tyre is bald at 2300 hrs . There was never a front weight on it . Tyre pressure is as the dealer delivered it to me and I’ve had them check it since
You are right, massey sent them out of the factory on 710 60 because the transaxle on the dynavt couldn't take the added torque of the 710 70. This has been sorted on the last of the big 77's and they could be got on 710 70.Does the 710 60 not leave the 7626 a bit low to the ground compared to a 710 70. Our 6499 is on 650 65 42 and that the main gripe i have with her is ground clearence. Once ther wore shel be gettin higher tyres but that shouldnt be for long time yet as shes only got around 2500 hours and back tyres are still around 75-80% at a guess
I thought a 7626 was only available as dyna6 when they launched them as i read it at the time that the vt was at its limit with the 7624 hp wise. Didnt realise theyd changed that. A new set of mich in that size will be lota money. Al have to make do with a cheaper brandYou are right, massey sent them out of the factory on 710 60 because the transaxle on the dynavt couldn't take the added torque of the 710 70. But to answer your question, yes, when I change them I'm going to 710 70 R42 and 600 70 R30 but they can't be xeo's and will probably be axio's instead.
Again your correct, the 26 only went vt when they changed to the 77's and only put the 710 70 on the latest incarnation of the 77I thought a 7626 was only available as dyna6 when they launched them as i read it at the time that the vt was at its limit with the 7624 hp wise. Mabe will take a look next time am at steeles to see what the difference is in ground clearenceAgain your correct, the 26 only went vt when they changed to the 77's and only put the 710 70 on the latest incarnation of the 77
There is a second hand 7626 sitting in McElderrys on a set of 710 70 R42 Linglongs of you fancy a look.
He did know exactly what work the tractor would be doing , I’m dealing with the same dealer for 25 years and they give me great service , the tyres are inflated to the recommended psi. So why would You say that he didn’t know what load it would be subjected to. I’ve bought plenty of new and secondhand tractors over the last 35 years and never before have I seen tyres melt like these crap. How could the dealer set the pressure when he doesn’t know the load it will be subjected to?????? Blame the manufacturer all you like but the blame lays with only one person @agri knives
Michelin Xeobib Tyres on a 600-60-30 and 710-60-42 are only rated at 180 to 200hp and should never be fitted on a tractor with more hp than that .You are right, massey sent them out of the factory on 710 60 because the transaxle on the dynavt couldn't take the added torque of the 710 70. Do you own a Tyre pressure gauge ?The Michelin rep has said that they have had problems before with these tyres . So it’s nothing new.
That is correct, but it was done. My tractor and two of my neighbours tractors t7.260 and t7.270 were all supplied new from the factory on xeobibs and have had no problems whats so ever .Except the price of replacing them when the time comes, as he has already replaced a set with the same again and I will replace mine with either xeo's or probably axio's.Michelin Xeobib Tyres on a 600-60-30 and 710-60-42 are only rated at 180 to 200hp and should never be fitted on a tractor with more hp than that .
