I'd love to get a 114 engineers vice to replace my crapped out cheap one; been looking out for second hand ones as the price new is scandalous.

Try bg industrial not sure they have 114 but 25 no bother.

They've got a 112 just arrived in for £175 (collected) but no No. 114's unfortunately. There is a refurb'd one eBay but its a bit pricey.

Seeing that link made me think, has anyone mounted their vice on a swivel base? Could be quite handy. It would have to be very sturdy though.

A Record is good but there is a better vice, the Army use it, it has a rotating head, one side for flat bits, the other for pipes. Can't remember the name of it, it is made to be run over (accidentally) by tanks. Anyone else heard of it?
