Have a 2009 Vicon RO-M Fert drill, the small rams are playing up they open OK but when I want to shut off at the end off a run I have to put them into float before they will close.
I think the internal seals on the piston are warn and letting oil past and creating back pressure, dealer has quoted £150/ram, Has anybody repaired these rams successfully. Or is it a case off bite the bullet an replace rams. Can't find anyone who does these small rams.

Take them to a ram repair. Get a price before committing though, small rams like those shouldn’t be to bad. Most hydraulic repair shops will have seals on the shelf. It’ll depend if the chrome has pitted and torn the seals inside. Unlikely but possible. I dare say you could find a very similar ram by emailing a picture to some one like flowfit. They may be able to sell you some thing identical for less.
