How can anyone be so cruel to a poor, innocent cabbage ;)
As a cabbage grower I would like to point out that every care possible is taken of them whilst upon my property, I also assure you every care is taken to ensure their best interests are met whilst on the way to and upon arrival at market. What happens after that is unfortunately beyond my control but without wanting to take too much of the moral high ground I am reasonably confident that we have never sent cabbage into the halal market.
Can I suggest that should you want to be confident of where your food comes from and how it was treated on it's way then buy British rather than some of this foreign stuff carted around on boats.
