Spread a field of grass today with N, no footpaths across it on the out skirts of the village. Tonight I’m the bad guy on Facebook as somebody who doesn’t even live in the village walked their dog on it, they ate some of the prills which tasted ‘vile’ and apparently it the dog is sick I’m paying the vets bills! My wife said that replying with try buying a fudgein map and sticking to the footpaths isn’t pc.

please dont get upset , these people are our customers we mstnt offend them , if they stop buying food they might die!

Yes I agree to a point , as long as they are managed as tightly as possible with regards to finance.

The trains especially imo.

New service opening at Okehampton https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2021/0...mpton-thanks-to-40-5m-government-funding.html which although not cheap is a good sign .

but if course it's being helped along by more housing being built in country towns and villages recently and ongoing

Yeah, there should be not for profit rural public transport

Not for profit public transport in many rural areas would still be charged at way higher ticket price than in towns and cities as the load factor would be so low and the journeys so long.

There are no easy answers but is it right for rural, often low income, people to pay more for their skeleton service than urban people do for a regular one? Regular rural public transport simply isn't viable.
