Considering a mk 1 MF 65 packed a 4/192 , a 154 must have been like a washing machine motor..
Ive no idea about one of them combines or engines.... i just did a forum search ;)

I do know that our old claas mercury had an A 3.152 ..which was ok if just driven sensibly and in good cutting conditions..... when we scrapped the combine .. :cry: it was still running nicely .. took the engine off and sold it seperatly to someone but i cant remem ber what they wanted it for....

Im wrong, actually it was it seems , a 4 270 perkins in the mercury . which was rated at 52 hp ( mustve been where i remebered the 52 bit from :rolleyes:)
It was 4 cylinder then...... but what would they have wanted that engine for :unsure:

I would have a soft spot for the older Mf's alright. I suppose tis a piccy or 2 ya want of what I drive for punishment :D.

Fantastic little combine. The cab is a horrible place of a hot dusty day though but 2 fans from car radiators mounted overhead are a massive help.
This will be here for next year's harvest. Hope to have it home in Nov.
