Couple more shots taken with me phone! This gentleman I worked for in 1975 he had a fleet of 1000 series Ford tractors and David Browns and some plant! He eventually emigrated and we lost touch for 40 years! But I found out in 2015 he now lives in Torquay! So we met up last year and he helps me with harvest now! He hasn't changed but I look a wreck! And not a teenager anymore !! LOL

Thanks for posting brought back a lot of memories of the contractor on the farm when I was young, quite often had 2 of the old round backed New Hollands on the farm at one time at harvest.
Pleasure mate! I have helped Barry with his harvest a few times as he has me! We always thought it a shame not to get it photographed! So this year it all came right! With the great help of Rory Day classic tractor, who seems more keen on this part of farming life! Credit to him !

What is there not to like about gatherings like that Col?!!
Absolutely mate! It's our heritage, we should all be proud of what has come before us and to what it has brought us, And furthermore a tribute to those who have and still tread the footsteps of the many others who toiled to feed us all despite the many problems that this industry has and still face! I salute each and everyone of you.Thank you.

I recognise that 1520 ! ....... used to do 10acs per day. About 100ac / year with it. Nice to see her still going well!. We scrapped another 8ft 1520 for a full set of spare parts to help keep costs down. Used to take her along the road a fair bit too and had great fun on the journeys home in the dark with just the candle sized yellow headlamps.

Thanks I’m after either an m122 or a 1520. There’s an m122 about 2 miles from me that I’m tempted by but also a 1520 for similar money about 2 hours away. So my contemplation was there anything really worth going for on a 1520. We had a m133 for many years but my father sold it hoping that I would stay away from farming.
