violent dog walker

So what is the best way with these people.

In the field earlier loading some insect netting, noticed a guy running spaniels 150 metres from path from one end of field to the other.

I stopped tractor asked him to keep dogs under close control, extremely threating & violent. I'm in dry stone wall country & he picked up a large stone & threated to put it through tractor cab windows. Called me every name under the sun he does this "dog walking"
every afternoon 3pm ish.

I stood my ground stayed calm & firm but it is hassle I can do without & I can't afford to give in this is urban fringe land although in a reasonably good area.

As said film him if possible, but from what you’ve said this may only antagonise him. Alternatively record the audio confrontation on your phone covertly so you have evidence of the threats and your response. If he’s as unstable as he sounds he may well make allegations against you so you need to have good defence.

Part bury a nice smelly dead rabbit. When you've finished pour a ring of something around the outside that's smelly and tank...... waste oil might not be fair on the dogs. Sure somebody round about might have a dead sheep you could leave in a sack awaiting collection might be another option.

I had similar here a few times when we moved in and were ‘setting ground rules’. You have to puff up your chest, raise your shoulders, and don’t back down whatever you do. It’s a bit disconcerting when they’re bigger than you and have an anger management problem that means they spit in a rage when their fist is drawn back, but don’t blink, just let them think you’re nuttier than them. Not one of the ar*eholes that tried it on here has ever been seen on the place since though.👍

At one point we did take to reporting each incident of threatening behaviour to plod, just so they had things on file should it escalate (as I could see happening at one point🤐).

I have to admit that I may have approached a couple of people in the same ‘irritated’ state after they had threatened my wife when she asked them to keep their dogs under control. She’s no shrinking violet but, call me old school, threatening a woman is like a red rag to a bull….

Some good suggestions here with filming him, involving police etc.
DO NOT do anything involving firearms, as tempting as it may be.

I don’t know what access you fellas have to various baits or chemicals, but if all else fails, can you spread some slug / snail pellets or mouse bait around that the dogs will hopefully eat ? Some 1080 fox baits would be ideal . . .

dont see why the dogs should suffer because a cock is taking them out
