Farmers may have been unable to sway the vote of their MP when the Agriculture Bill came back to the House of Commons recently, but they can choose who champions their sector. Tom Allen-Stevens reports. Who will become the UK’s first arable Climate Change Champion? Throughout this this month, CPM readers will help decide. The initiative, supported by NFU, has been running in CPM throughout 2020. This has detailed the experiences of nine growers – thought leaders who have already started their journey to meet the challenging target of Net Zero emissions by 2040. They have the ideas, the progressive outlook and the determination to shape positive change. Now it’s your turn to decide which of them should be awarded the accolade of Climate Change Champion 2020. From there you can go to the on-line voting form, where you can score each one of the contenders on their achievements. Voting ends on 28 October 2020 and the winner will be announced shortly after.
