Voter ID

Every one has to show Id when buying certai goods in the shops
alcohol drugs knives
also entering a many night clubs and pubs
opening a bank account or changing details on a bank account needs full Id

the last labour government wanted a full Id system
most people carry a number of proof of I’d

so what’s the big deal a bout Id.
we have to prove Id for many things already

Several Republican states in the USA are introducing 'Jim Crow' legislation making it harder for voters to successfully cast their vote.
No surprise that this Tory govt are following in their footsteps.

Still flying that silly flag, and as for Article 49, how long will the sulk go on for? :ROFLMAO:

Odd that you are so keen on a) ignoring a democratic vote to leave, and b) having the UK join such a wholly undemocratic organisation as the EU yet are whining about laws in one of the world's strongest democracies.

Just out of interest, will you tell us how many EU member states require id to allow someone to vote, oh go on, won't you, please...? :)

The big issue is a libertarian issue as we do not need ID.
Then there is also the issue as to the cost, and the perception that it discriminates against the poorer sections of society predominantly labour voting in the inner cities, who do not need driving licences.

Sorry my fault for wording it badly, I was meaning in the USA where you have to have ID to register to vote yet it is suddenly seen by some as a problem to show the ID when it actually comes to voting.

The utter shamelessness of Dems in American bringing up Jim Crow for voter ID. Disgusting.

Stevie Wonder can see why voter ID is an issue and it has zero to do with looking out for any minorities.

Already the case in many parts of the EU AND it's illegal not to vote in Belgium.
