I am sure that Farage and his ilk appeal to the blue rinse brigade, with his tub thumping rhetoric, where Britain will be a self determining Nation (whatever that is) will regain its Sovereignty (despite never losing it) will be in control of its own destiny (as it always was) and when negotiating trade Johnny Foreigner will have to dance to the UKs tune, however he does not appeal to me and just comes across as a school boy bully, which may well be fine in the sand pit at public school, that arrogance and talking over the top of your trade partners round the negotiating table may not work out to be so effective on the world stage.

Do you know, I almost think these guys deserve the clown as their PM and see them squeal and squirm at the inevitable disasters. At least we will be at a safe distance (y).
Problem for myself being, I would actually like the uk to be a reasonable place for my family to remain living. How about you?

I would also like the UK to be a reasonable place to live, mainly because it is sad to see how low the country has sunk, all my kids live in New Zealand and of my Dads 14 grandchildren only 2 still remain in the UK with the other 12 being either here or in Australia. It is still good to go back and visit to catch up with parents and friends (we will be there in August later this year) but it is also great to get on the plane and get back home to the Southern Hemisphere.

The EU overrules parliament, so sovereignty was lost, that meant that the EU controlled destiny. The EU controlled who we trade with, and the prices involved, restricting us to the single market, a market populated by less well off nations, which kept prices down to the advantage of the Franco/German alliance, which is the controlling body.
Do you trot up the road and ask your neighbour and competitor if you can sell a cow, and how much can you ask for it? That`s the situation all the EU countries are in!

At least they would be our disasters, not some foisted on us by an occupying power, a power which then would inter-fear with any recovery action we would try to take.

When and why did you move to NZ?
I wonder how you would find being governed by Australia?
The arrogance of Farage, have you seen nothing of the EU politicians!!!!!!?

Hopefully we might eventually get a group of MP’s who know how to govern U.K.
This lot don’t have the foggiest, too many years of EU rubber stamping.

When? Moved 20 years ago
Why? Ask anyone who's been here, Gods country.

NZ and Aus work together in many aspects, we have free movement between the two.

The UK and EU discussions up until recently were on our news nightly, the EU politicians never came across as arrogant, there was certainly no comments along the lines of "they need us more than we need them". as mentioned before Farage comes across as a public school boy bully, constantly talking over the top of interviewers.

I would not expect Farage and his followers to appeal to any snowflake liberal emigrant who has decided to live elsewhere. but then why should he? You made your bed, so lay in it and leave us to deal with your own affairs. It amazes me how caring you are about the affairs of others when they are sufficiently polite to avoid trying to tell you how to organise your own affairs We don`t want your advice or pity thank you so please find another hobby.

Farage style arrogance there, trying to shut up and shut out those who disagree with you.

@stewart, be assured that Bob does not speak for the forum and your contributions are welcomed and valued.

Wrong again.

Helpful response. Which part? That a) Farage interupts those he disagrees with, that b) he shuts out those he disagrees with or that c) Bob doesn’t speak for us all, or perhaps d), that Bob is wrong, and you agree with me?

I’ve made it simple for you with marked choices, but you are allowed to give more than one as an answer if you feel that’s appropriate.
