Anybody going to learn how wonderful Farming Connect are in this round of meetings? I'm just off too do my duty at Welshpool. I'll be the one wriggling out of the toilet window after signing in...:sneaky:

Well that was comical. Everyone quietly sat through it, with only 2 questions being asked at the end, both to do with the grant scheme. The speakers appeared a bit deflated that nobody had questions to ask them and most people got out as soon as the doors opened.:D

What a fantastic use of taxpayers money.

Didn't realise you had to go to a meeting in every round? Or did you miss all the fun in the first round?

My understanding was if you missed the first meeting you couldn't apply for the whole life of the FBG, I also thought you only had to go to the original meeting and not the second ones etc..

I registered for the first meetings, but couldn't conjure up the enthusiasm to attend. Attending (any) one of the meetings is a requirement of claiming the grant.

just had text about the claim date going to jan now !! started shopping allready for my new race and scales!

I've not had that text, but there is another application window in January, then several more after (but not officially announced yet, we were told). There is £40m available over the next 3 or 4 years, so with only £6m available in each of the first 3 windows, there must be several more on the way. The first window was undersubscribed by more than £1m, so that money has been rolled over to this one. It doesn't seem like there's any great hurry.;)

See, I was listening..... a bit.

That does not surprise me as everything I looked at price was well above the prices they'd had for machinery, unless WG had had prices from cheaper manufacturers and I was looking at better built/longer lasting mo e expensive ones?

There may well be even more left in the kitty by the time 120 days from the first lot of approvals is up, and some more haven't sent invoices/ claims in.
