Daughters in Cardiff uni says everyone is planning to dash for home before fridays lockdown although as Cardiff is at present in a lockdown they shouldn’t be leaving .

Pointless.

Not going to change anything except bugger up what little remains of our economy

Your Drakeford fella doe sseem to enjy the power he has. I have listened to him a few times. Out of interest is there special Welsh Money Tree? Just wondered how your man is to pay for his special measures. Not thinking of tapping up the bank of England and Westiminster is he just that I could do with some pot holes mending in our local roads before paying some holiday camp in Ceridgonsd where there seems to be no Covid???

"Firebreak" ? Is that different to a "circuit breaker"? I thought "lockdown" was bad enough. Who comes up with all these stupid names to describe the same bloody thing?
Wonder what the next one will be?

Ah maybe they meant Firestarter, which leads me nicely the Prodigy classic. Not sure Mr Drakeford would appreciate my levity - presume a strict Chapel Methodist.

It's the students going back that caused the current spike as it mixed all counties in a 2 week period. Will likely settle down in a week or 2 then spike again at Xmas when they go home. Best thing would of been to of kept them at home until second term, but hey ho.....

Had to justify adding £9k to their student loans to give it to the University to pay the Vice Chancellor is £250k salary. And also to get them to the Uni towns and cities so they have to pay the landlord rent. That is situation with my daughter - lifted the loan and the private landlord gets his rent. Job done. Hey ho.

It’s ludicrous, think we had 1 death in wales today, and we lockdown an entire country. The outbreak in wales also seems mostly centred around South Wales hospitals, areas that have had tighter restrictions imposed on them for almost a month already!!!

Comrade Drakeford will have us on lockdown for months now, no chance this will be lifted in 2 weeks.

From the depths of the LIncolnshire fens all we hear from the west of Offas Dyke is Mr Drakeford. Is Wales a autocratic dictatorship? I think we in England should be told. And where is his money coming from - domestic Welsh taxes?

Not good times ahead for Wales
