WANTED - Farmers extreme weather experiences

From the pictures I have seen on here and on Facebook, think Cheshire is rather desperate currently. Everyone else seems to be getting some crops in the ground, I know many farmers who have less than 10% of their ground with a crop in it. Yorkshire and Lincolnshire might have been flooded, fair enough, but can guarantee we have the most consistent amount of rain compared to some parts of the country.

it isn’t just a case of the weather, look at the bigger picture. It’s bleak looking at waterlogged stubble fields going into late winter. We have probably had 4/5 days without rain since September

That's neighbour going through a few days after I opened it to get out to feed cows and sheep. Was well above top of my cab when I did it (had a JD 6430 at the time)

Crikey, I never realised Scottish winters happened in Cheshire as well ??

Have heard it's been a bit damp down in England, sort of like a Scottish summer?

Climate change is definitely affecting us though.... Up here in the hills the soil has been warm enough for grass to keep growing in mid winter ?

I noticed daffodils poking through today, 40 miles north of Inverness. Surely, that's very early? Are they up in Cheshire yet?

Saw some in a sheltered spot that were almost flowering. About the same stage as the Cornish ones in the supermarkets. It has been very mild, bordering on extreme. ;)

The south west is a bit extreme. It was probably in the 1960's that we made first cut silage on the 14th February near Stoke Gabriel in South Devon! I think it was S22 Italian Ryegrass. But not Cheshire....
