Apologies if this is posted in the wrong area.

I am looking for a venue to hire for our large championship dog show, preferably somewhere we can hire for the same weekend every year.

What we require:
A large, flat grassed field (we would consider two adjoining fields)
Easy access from the road
One (or more) water point suitable for drinking water
Permission to allow our competitors to bring their caravans/ tents
Permission to put up a marquee (hired from and erected by a reputable company)

We do not need toilets/ waste points for the caravans/ rubbish removal as we hire those....obviously if these were available, we would consider hiring these from the field owner. We do not need electric hook up or hard standing.
We hire security people, so no 'extra' caravans or undesirables would get on site. We clear up after ourselves and always do an inspection after all competitors leave, ensuring cleanliness. We have always been complimented on the condition of the venue when we leave.

If you have anything suitable please get in touch! Thank you.

Events are a great way to bring in additional income. If anyone is interesting in going ahead with something like, get in touch. Don't get caught out with not having a good contract or under charging. This is a photo from a farm 3 weeks after the event!

Thanks for your reply! We need a minimum of about 8/9 acres and it's for the weekend after the late August bank holiday....so next year it would be the 31st August to the 2nd September.

We have draft contracts which can be adjusted to add in any extra clauses that need adding. We are a well established club and our show is crufts qualifying...so we need a fabulous venue!
At present, we are using a very busy park in the centre of West Bromwich....previously we have used a farmers field and before that, Drayton manor parks campsite area. We can provide references and photos to show the ground is left after we hold our event. We have been running this show for many years successfully and it is only that the council has increased the ground charges by 300% on all of its parks that we are now looking to move.

Thanks for the message @Tracey , I would want a lot more than Drayton Manor , I think their fee is very reasonable

We've never paid more than that and unless it was somewhere absolutely brilliant, which would attract extra competitors, I doubt the committee would agree. The field we used previously was £1000 (farmers field, mowed, 1 water point, nothing else) and we are currently paying the park far less than £1000.

By a lot more, what were you thinking?

How many people attend the event? Majority use cars?

It's not an "attractive to the public" event...so we don't get much in the way of general public popping long with the family to watch. I guess we average around 500 competitors per day, in cars and vans kitted out to carry dogs. Maybe 80 or staying over last year, although when we were on our previous venue we had lots more campers.

i would say £5 per person, they will pay way more than that just for a camp site.

Only around 80 people camp. The rest come in for the day. We will not be looking at paying much more than what we have paid previously, as an updated quote from Drayton Manor has still come back only slightly more than when we used them before....and that's with rubbish removal, skips and proper driveways onto the field we use!
We've also had quotes from several large parks and a large campsite with events field, again, all coming in at what we expected to pay.
Now comes the fun part....visiting all the sites and choosing somewhere suitable!
Thanks for the help everyone

I think £1220 is a pretty sweet deal, £1500-2000 is probably what I would recommend people to charge
Yeah, sounds cheap. Customer rents out a 2 acre field 1-2 times a year and charges £600 for 1 night with hirer responsible for everything from water to field repair.
