Snap on dealer should be able to sort that most would carry spares on the van I've had a few on warranty in the past when i can be bothered to go find the local dealer as he wont come to me!

Find your local dealers facebook page and send message via that. I always get a response then!:)

thanks very much for input its same as everything I'm dealing through a mate with snap on man so ill just go see him next time he is around in van and get the job sorted myself.

I cant expect it on warranty because like a dick I used the smallest screwdriver as a pry bar to pry a bearing cover off a trailer when checking brakes!

We have pullers, had to grind the legs, but lasted years, then broke ..................
Replaced under warranty, we were shocked

My uncle once had a 1/2 snap-on ratchet that used to slip apart from everytime the snap on man came round, so he took the workings out and made a slightly oversized boss in the lathe and pressed it in. Split it straight down the centre of the handle, the snap-on man had to send it to the USA to be evaluated apparently they'd never seen one do that before! They changed it eventually...........

don't suppose you have a snap on code for the repair kit? ie the new shaft I'm getting "computer said no!" to my snap on code SDD2 smallest flat screwdriver snap on man is coming Friday with a few other bits but I don't think he will have sorted this one

also how harder job is it to remove the handle I have a feeling he will be giving me a new Soft grip screwdriver so I may end up swapping my own handle are they interchangeable? I will try get him to do it a chance it F**s up!

When mister snap on does em, he clamps the blade in the vice and clouts the handle off with a mallet. They always come apart very easy.

Just looking online I think SDD2 is the original old style hard handle (the best one in my opinion) and the same as my ones, you need to get mister snap on to cross reference the numbers with the new style ones. They've never had a problem getting new blades for mine before.

I prefer the descriptions of pry bar than "clout them off" < hope he uses rubber hammer!
how he put them back on? same way? but with rubber in vice?

Yes uses plastic hammer, to put them back on his vice has anvil on the back side. Places blade tip on anvil with slots in blade and handle lined up and clouts handle back on. Takes literally about a minute.
