Today while travelling on single track country lane ,the box section going from the main drill chassis/framework "Snapped" nearly completely all they way round, caused the driver quite a shock, as the drill chewed in to the tarmac.!!! The contractor managed to get it welded up in the lane ,to get drill back to workshop, but suggest you may wish to check your JD 750A, it could have caused chaos if it had broke on a busy road.
Of course the drawbar on newer models of the 750a may have been strengthened.
If the above problem has already been discussed in the past all well and good.

It was common for older drills to crack halfway down the drawbar where the central drawbar met the the two braces that go to the frame. Newer versions have plates welded top and bottom that should cure the problem. It only occurred on high acreage drills and by welding plates on was easily cured.
