Water heater

Our water heater has sprung a leak just above the electrics (of course)
Currently we have a Cotswold and are quite happy with it. But are there more efficient options out there?. Also is a 50gallon 225 litre enough for a 20 unit parlour? There is a bigger size option. Currently we feel 225 is big enough as we fill a 200 litre blue drum for circulation but always looking for new knowledge.
thanks

Got a 20 unit parlour here, 80 gallon heater, stainless steel, bought second hand, but lowered the header tank , so probably about 60 gallon in it. We warm pre rinse then hot, plenty of water, perhaps I need to lower the header?

repairable?
you may just consider it vs the price of a new heater.

We use plate cooler water for first rinse but more efficient plate cooler has dropped water temp. We plan to switch to only one hot wash per day to cut costs. Replace like for like but consider economy of heat recovery where grants available

We save the mornings hot wash and put it through warm at night.
Our 10 20 jar parlour is soon to be replaced by a direct to line 20 20
I've been told it won't be hot enough at night for milk meters to work, anyone else save morning wash for night with meters ?

i think cold is better than luke warm, especially if it’s already been through the parlour, is a chance bacteria could have been breeding in it throughout the day. Save it for your volume washer.
