We always ballasted loader tractor tyres back in the day, salt is a lot cheaper than antifreeze.

Only fine until you get a puncture, then it's the devils own job trying to get rid of the mixture, if you don't get rid you'll force it against the wheel with the tube, which can create a rust problem which then rubs against the tube causing more punctures.but fine if it is a tubed tyre
