water problem

We have some fields about 10 miles from home , we have about 100 ewes plus lambs and 20 store cattle on the ground but we have trouble with the mains water supply the pressure is very poor , it only trickles into the troughs and during this hot spell it has been virtually non existant , what are your thoughts / ideas , there is a farm yard to the fields which the water comes from and the pressure is pretty good in the yard could the pipes in the fields be firred up , also you can hear air coming out of the ball valves . Any suggestions .

Have you checked the ball valves aren't full of dirt?
Undo the elbow on the tanks and see how much pressure you have.

Air lock in the pipe.

Small bore pipe,furred up or laid in an undulating trench and if your very unlucky all three.

Allthough air shouldn't be getting into a mains suply

Or you may have an underground leak!

Have you tried Canesten?

Have checked ball valves all ok ,also checked pressure at elbows at the trough and there is no water pressure only a trickle or non at all .

Could there be a stopcock somewhere that's been turned off,but leaks abit ?
