We need a water pump solution for a remote, off-grid silvopasture with lots of shade. Solar-powered pumps wouldn't be feasible due to the planting density of the trees shading a panel. I'm interested in something like these units that Toolman Tim shows that use DeWalt rechargeable batteries
However, I'm not sure the ~45-60ft dead lift will be good enough here. We will be pulling from very shallow small streams and pocket ponds like the one pictured below. Maybe we'd be better served with something that can run off a 12V gel or AGM battery? I like the options Toolman Tim shows, because they're light (easily portable) and you don't need any special plumbing equipment - just regular hoses and fittings.
