Water trough for rotational grazing

Looking for a good water trough for rotational grazing cattle, I am using a plastic jfc one at the moment moving with the cattle with quick connects on the pipe. Quite often the cattle are knocking the trough making it overflow or messing with the pipe turning the ballcock, looking for any recommendations for a more reliable trough design. Thanks

Kiwitech drag trough if large mobs.

If techno grazing then use their micro troughs.

or make your own large drag troughs from a used tractor tyre and a steel plate.

We just got pur first micro trough but not got it set up yet as need to get an ibc.
I made one 2 years ago out of super single bale trailer tyre. It works well but the quad does struggle to move it.

with these kiwi tech tanks, why are people paranoid about the bottom fill?
Simply put in a non-return valve. Whilst our water is all our own borehole, I have never known an issue with any tank draining back into the system.
They are extremely reliable and stock proof and at the end of the day waste so much less water than top fill tanks

Strip grazing and back fencing for the first year here. Water troughs on field boundaries so radiating the fences out from the tank. Daily moves so no excessive wear apart from close to the troughs as usual. Never has as much grass this time of year and no outlay on portable troughs yet.

Could always make your own out of old barrels. Work very well, if you like it then invest in a kiwitec drag trough?

We made this. Have a length of pipe the length of the field. Cows moved daily with a back fence in place. Unhook one end of the fence and swing it into the next allocation of grass using a fence post to keep it tight. While the cattle wander through hook up the chain drag it through the gap and put the.
Can be pulled by the quad and can keep up to 400 head group watered of your age bracket

it's not people being paranoid, it is the water regulations for mains.
