4 winters????!!!! Our flexothene we wear last us 2/3 months at best and they are completely shot. As you say wet crotch is normal. The trouble is having something you can manoeuvre in and something that doesn’t leave you with a pair of curtains when a scotty or Swale goes past at x mph

Sorry, the Kaiwaka Stormforce ones have last 4 winters. The Flexothane ones last 2/3 months, like you say, though the Oringi flexothane ones have done better already.

before you buy kaiwawa
there is a company
ast direct.
now they stock waterproofs identical to kaiwawa in all but price
i know people who have kaiwawa and gone to his stuff, and they say its exactly the same.
tepapa on here, he has both and can compare.
ive used the ast ones and so far spot on use them in amongst sheep at mart so a really good test.
I have ordered some trousers from them today to see!

Seconded, I have recently had one of their Stormforce jackets and was VERY apprehensive about the price as I've never paid anything like that for a work jacket. Absolutely brilliant, very warm and comfortable and it breaths. You don't feel horrible and sweaty like a flexo can get you. Just need to save up for the pants now.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Brilliant kit is kaiwaka storm force. Bib and brace are the dogs danglers

What's the difference between the kaiwaka normal trousers and the stormforce ones?

Normal ones are a heavy duty version of flexothane type trousers. The stormforce one are lined and a tougher material. I’ve got some stormforce ones and to be honest you wouldn’t want to spend all day in them with a pair of jeans underneath. I’ve taken to wearing shorts under them with long johns!

I would highly recommend the Kiawaka gear, it just is a tad pricey. When my current clobber is unwearable, I might try the Betacraft from ast direct.

Wish they stocked women's sizes in every form of waterproof wear.

Kiwifit sells a few styles, and I've a long (it's long on me) KaiWaka coat that I'm happy with, but it's expensive.

Added: I don't know why, but manufacturers of waterproof trousers and leggings seem to think that all their customers are 7ft tall and very tubby indeed.

Had a kaiwaka lady of the land sleeveless vest for Christmas now quite fancy the trousers. It is expensive but tis good gear. Sounds like the normal weight one would be ok for yard work and milking etc.

@Old Tip Standard attire for most Cumbrian black yow farmers , you should know what is best outfit as most of you up there live in them
I use the seal skin ones will look at the label when I go out, Hate flexothane, they stink and don’t last long. Rugar Monsoon are ok in real bad weather but a bit stiff for every day use. The seal skins usually out last any other make and are not too heavy

Just bought a kaiwaka stormforce over trousers bib to go milking, will I need to spray anything to waterproof it overtime?
Or are they that good that I will just leave it at it is?

Yes but perhaps not the same ones as in the link. I use Seal flex leggings now, they are miles better than flexothanes
