Power pasture now doing a range of outdoor kit. Looks very good but very £££££ made inGB though
Betacraft definitely, unequivocally nothing like the quality of kaiwakaYou could have got a betacraft with the same quality for a fraction of the price
Well I can only say as I find, delighted with my betacraft gear, I'm happy to pay a fraction of the price and stay dry,. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if they are wrong.Betacraft definitely, unequivocally nothing like the quality of kaiwaka
Like you, I bought one because it was cheaper. It didn't last the winter! Lining frayed where it rubbed when closed, hood pull cord wore through making it useless in the wind, studs pulled out, even the apparently good quality zip wore out when less than a year old
Bought a kaiwaka. They're in a different league of comfort, quality, and practicality. Warm, dry, but not restrictive or sweaty, it's a pleasure to work wearing a properly designed coat
I've posted my experiences on here already, and also refuted claims that Betacraft are "as good for a fraction of the price", they are quite simply nothing like as good
Aye torramor , I just can't justify that kind of money to wear for fencing,Power pasture now doing a range of outdoor kit. Looks very good but very £££££ made inGB though

I got the betacraft 1 last year, wore it from October until early April every day for 12-18hours and can’t say it looks any different too new tbh… I wear a betacraft smock type fleece under it which the zips have gone in though love it too real handy pocket on my tit for my phoneAye you've mentioned your incorrect opinion a couple of times now
Hope your jacket lasts longer than mine did, and when the time comes to replace it, that you'll be able to afford the far better, more comfortable one from kaiwaka
You can hardly describe your not summer a winter though?Love both my betacraft jackets. One is into its 5th winter this coming winter.

No need for google anymore, just use DrDunc
This is great feedback and I will pass this on to the team in NZ as this sort of thing helps them improve the next versions. Glad to hear you are pleased so far. Thanks.I've just bought a betacraft parka and bib&brace after recommendations on here. My main observations so far, the cuffs take some getting used to, being a tight rubbery cuff, but they do keep wet out. I also find it to be quite a heavy coat tbh. It's not the warmest when you first put it on. It does dry out quick, even when screwed up in the back of the pickup. Hood is good and doesn't blow off in the slightest breeze like most hoods do. What is the teeny tiny inside pocket for?? The bib & brace are good, however the straps aren't as good as the kaiwaka as they tend to work loose. Plus they don't have pockets like the kaiwaka. They are also a shinier material than the kaiwaka, which put me off a bit at the start.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with them so far.
Sorry to hear this DrDunc. We are really proud of our brand and we want people to have confidence to buy our products more than once. Please can you private message me your contact details as I would like to find out more. I am so sorry. Thank you.Bought a betacraft jacket last autumn. It's the water resistant tan coloured type.
Felt gorgeous and comfortable to wear, good pockets, and warm
It was buggered by the springtime.
Hood and waist drawcords had cut through the fabric. Inner lining was worn through in several places. Pockets were hanging off. Zip had started to split.
I now wear what's left of it in the workshop when grinding and welding because it doesn't matter if it gets burnt.
Bought a totally waterproof Kaiwaka storm force for this winter, and hopefully beyond. All the bits that went wrong with the betacraft seem to have been designed properly in the kaiwaka.... Fingers crossed
I'll start
