    No soakage compared to other years the atmosphere is just to moist need three high pressures over the british isles for 6 weeks but thats wishful thinking

    Is it going to stay dry now? like the 1975 drought followed by the famous 1976 drought.

    Its odd how 76 is always the one remembered, 83, 89, 90, 95, 2003 & now 2018 all big drought years but some how forgotten.

    It definitely goes in spells up here. It's been fairly dry for a while, so expecting rain/snow which is usual for January/February.

    3 weeks without rain here and no rain in the forecast-ground has dried up a treat! The other half cut the lawn yesterday and I am contemplating rolling some wheat that did'nt get done in the autumn.
    Lambs on stubble turnips are loving it and skipping nicely.
