March the 1st has arrived and the age old say reared itself in conversation " In like a lamb out like a lion " meaning the weather for march has started calm but it will go out a bit wilder.

Dad used to say one that was summat to do with snow laying over a week, making for a march of winter bleak. Snow that came in the last lot still laying in places here

pi55ing down with rain take a coat .. old wise mans saying

most common one used to hear it will take a flood to break the dry ... and thats about true small amounts don't realy get things going
