Like most things, decent weather stations are not cheap and cheap weather stations are not decent...
yes but don't want to spend £700/800, im sure there are half decent ones out there which people on here have. Its more for interest purposes than business, although will be handy.

For Christmas last year, I had a Waldbeck Halley Pro.

Really pleased with it, does exactly what I want. Cheapest internet connected one I could find and has been fine.

Why?

The Sencrop are just a Davis, which can be programmed to what these do, but without the subscription?

They are not just Davis - the sencrop app is really very good on phone and desktop, the sub is for the data which you will have with any station that is not within wifi range and if a station is within wifi range of a building its too close IMO. The sencrop data doesn't need a SIM card as it uses a different (far cheaper) method of data transfer so it's far cheaper to run than any other weather station that can be used beyond wifi range

some of our stations are on remote blocks of land a long way from any wif-fi connecetion ! The plug and play nature of a Sencrop is very useful in such sitautions

I have had such a station for over a year. It is enough for home use. It sends data to three portals so you can access them. Previously, for eight years I had another cheap Chinese and also acted
Here you can read parameters from My station https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IKTYWROC3
The only problem that occurred after a power failure had a problem with the connection to Rauter

The sensors I use daily on my
Are air temp
Rain fall
soil moisture x4
Soil temperature
Leaf wetness it is brilliant and use it lots
Humidity

Though some are on it for other reasons to feeds data in to calculation for moisture loss and disease models and it’s part off our Ipm
As I use it a lot to to help fungicide planning and the best bit is the Agri weather forecast as it is quite accurate it predicted you spray windows
