Has anyone put a liquid fert kit on their GD? Got any pics? Where do you put the nozzle, and does it harm the seed if it's in the slot?

I'll bet it doesn't yield as you expect....

Well, guess what?
It was the best field by a considerable margin.
And on the whole the entire acreage is close to the best, if not averages out to be the best crop of rape I've grown. Just half a lorry to go and I'll know for sure.
Mostly down to luck and good weather.

We have been strip tilling maize for several years now, and want to stop ploughing and cultivating to encourage soil microbial activity.

We will put some short term leys in when the barley stubbles have chitted (far too dry for that at present), and some winter barley in once the earliest maize is cut - probably mid to late September. Maize is not looking too early at present, but again some rain followed by sun might change that. Currently cutting spring barley.

Putting in the MGA cover crop trials - the first action the new drill (on a second hand Caddy) has seen. Conditions were rather wet - after starting to drill the trials we were hit by a series of thunderstorms
