Weaving LD top Soiler

Any of you guys got or seen above machine yet - idea seems very sound - cultivate below the surface for drainage etc and not disturb the stubble too much. We are seeing BG now and thinking carriers and LD after harvest , good chit and spray and later drill with Horsch Pronto and roll - or do we re-boot with a good plough in bad areas and carry on with the sumo / power harrow approach ? Putting more spring crops in etc etc.

Sell the sumo. That’s causing your black grass problem

Got one - trying it out after this band of rain - carriers over twice and sprayed , drill pr-em roll and hope !!!

How many acres are you getting out of the legs this year?

We recently demoed one looked a good machine, ideal to use Infront of a weaving GD drill

Modified an old Simba machine 2 years ago and used the Tillso Sabre Ultralite legs. 12 legs in 6m. Carrier then through with this then spray and drill with a Weaving GD. Made a 3m with 7 Sumo LD legs as well for OSR drilling, prefer the Tillso leg personally.

We didn't sow any last year but got rigged up for this and after 3 days sowing I am extremely happy. Doing about 50 acres a day and lovely condition. I can tell you better if it grows!

Looks good , what depth do you run the legs and what size tractor of tractor pulls it?

ive got this ex demo (-30acres) LD subsoiler for sale, it’s got sumo legs which you can put even lower disturbance feet on if you want. 600mm packer with cleaners. 3m machine with road lights and marker boards. £6300 plus vat. Rugby, Warwickshire. Let me know if interested...

Did the 240 handle it with ease Rob, would it handle a 5m one? Slower forward speed less disturbance.

The 240 was the boss of the job think we were going about 6-8k

Yes looks interesting they’re Simba LD legs by the look of it just lack leading discs
