Weaving LD top Soiler

Yes these are Simba LD bottoms, we made them a couple of years ago as a conversion from the Michel 600 cranked leg. A cutting disc could be mounted in front of the legs off the brackets but there’s not much room in this frame.

Some folk seem to dislike the Simba LD, anyone know why this is?
Do you know the width of this LD leg plate ? Also can you get a decent LD point for these?

Most comments we had were how wide and aggressive the wings were, some cut them down in size others ran with no wings.

The LD leg (and Michel 600 leg) were both 12mm wide, hence the gap in the brackets is 12mm.

With these current legs you can fit the Horsch drill point (as in photo), the Simba LD point or the Agricast LDX point with more tungsten.

Good info!! Which point will give the least surface disturbance & good lift & shatter running around 9 inches?

Talk to terry birch ,we have his 12 mm legs .and use both simba drill point and ld point with 4 inch wing , keeping speed sensible helps too , ferobided the sides and top of tungsten points and get good wear out of them

We have taken off out old Mcconnell Subsoiler legs and replaced them with the Weaving LD legs as we are keen on the low disturbance aspect for BG control. Very pleased with them, we have very heavy clay which can become very tough but the legs still perform very well and do exactly what they are designed to do and do lot bring up big clods for BG seeds to disappear down. Also take less HP to pull

Love the weaving but on a real stiff headland etc instead of the shearbolt going the leg brackets bend and twist round - not cast like a shaky bracket. Weavings beefed up the brackets and we cut grooves in the shearbolts to shear easier and cleaner - will know better this autumn as did little after the mod.

We have a 5m Weaving Topsoiler, arrived in early August. Does a great job, running at 7" deep, low disturbance and doesn't bring lumps up which then makes it easier to create a good seedbed.
My only criticism is the points wearing far to quickly, I wouldn't class us as being on particularly stoney ground but it loses bits of tungsten off the points to easily and then they wear like billio to the extent that wings end up deeper than the point! Had this after doing 125 acres with 5 metres!

Do you have any photos of it in action / what finish it leaves please

Assume this is sold

It’s still for sale actually, had a few time wasters so I ended up putting it in my local dealers yard to advertise it and I keep forgetting about it! It’s a good machine that I only did max 30 acres with, but then we moved onto direct drilling so no longer required.
give me a call on 07725853065 if your still interested, I’ve dropped the price to £5850 plus vat to try and sell it a bit quicker too.
thanks. Chris
