Currently running an 8m sprinter st on Dutch Coulter’s and love it but thinking about changing for a weaving GD. Would like to know everyone’s thoughts?

Only because I think payments in the future are going to be based more around direct drilling, cover crops and lower disturbance drills. Also whilst there are grants around should we be making the most of the?

Do you direct drill at the moment with the Dutch Coulter’s or do you do some degree of cultivation? Soil type/rotation?

Currently a mixture of both. If it’s land we’ve taken on with a BG problem we plough as a reset, but generally use a carrier as shallow as possible once or some time twice to prove a better flush and then subsoil headlands or DD if conditions suit. Very impressed with the Dutch and how much better it is when DDing. Have also started leaving osr volunteers as a green bridge and planting into it when is round your knees and have found it to be an advantage so far. Also surprised at how we don’t seem to have anymore slug pressure either.

Also farm a mixture of soil types from sandy loam to heavy boulder clay
