If you love it why change?
Do you direct drill at the moment with the Dutch Coulter’s or do you do some degree of cultivation? Soil type/rotation?
Currently a mixture of both. If it’s land we’ve taken on with a BG problem we plough as a reset, but generally use a carrier as shallow as possible once or some time twice to prove a better flush and then subsoil headlands or DD if conditions suit. Very impressed with the Dutch and how much better it is when DDing. Have also started leaving osr volunteers as a green bridge and planting into it when is round your knees and have found it to be an advantage so far. Also surprised at how we don’t seem to have anymore slug pressure either.
That’s that then. End of story. We all know what to do now then. It’s that simple.Stick with the Sprinter, more versatile with consistent results unlike the weaving.
There you go my opinion based on having both drills on farm for the last two seasons both being 8m,the Horsch just out performed the weaving, but hay its up to others to make their own minds up.That’s that then. End of story. We all know what to do now then. It’s that simple.
