webb cell wheels?

just picked up an elderly webb drill ...but its got veg sowing cell wheels....also seen some cell wheels on fleabay ....but wondering what size i need for fodder beet

any info? thanks

Raw seed or pelleted?
If raw forget it!
If pelleted it should give the size.
Then you will need to decide on your spacing.
To check measure the wheels circumference to ascertain how many turns for say 10 metres then turn the wheels and see how many come out.
Seem to remeber this drill has a gearbox to decide spacing easier than changing belts.
But you may not have the right cell wheels to give correct number of seeds

pelleted seed...the wheels i've got give 1.5 inch spacing....not gearbox model....individual drive

Terry birch has one on one of his machines. And you can get different discs to go in maize drills. To sow rape.

Got a box full of cells which seem to be E(?) with different amounts of holes depending on what spacing you want.

yep measurements add up......i've the 1.5 inch spacing...i'll have a think and pm you...definitlty have some so have a think on price
