None of the herbicides listed above will touch charlock. Best thing for that will be to let it grow taller than the crop & when it starts to flower, run a topper through with row crop wheels on the tractor set to run between the rows.
The best control is a long rotation between brassicas. 7 years at least.
That won't do much for brassicas. A stale seed bed, started in the autumn might be better.
24 years ago a crop of spuds was in a neighbours field, hasn’t been ploughed since, they grew 1/2 acre of swedes last year and it looked like a crop of charlock, if they’d hand rouged it or gone along with a garden rake between the rows when I told them it would have been clean but it was wall to wall charlock againThe best control is a long rotation between brassicas. 7 years at least.
Yes but it is the same thing with all these residual products you don’t always get the moisture in spring.Has anyone ever tried using devrinol for swedes?
