None of the herbicides listed above will touch charlock. Best thing for that will be to let it grow taller than the crop & when it starts to flower, run a topper through with row crop wheels on the tractor set to run between the rows.

The best control is a long rotation between brassicas. 7 years at least.

That won't do much for brassicas. A stale seed bed, started in the autumn might be better.

When we used to grow swedes in drills !!!! We pre emergenced with. Rapsan did well.

Well it does. Gives lots of opportunities to get rid of the weed seeds before your brassica crop comes round again.

Also helps with clubroot.

24 years ago a crop of spuds was in a neighbours field, hasn’t been ploughed since, they grew 1/2 acre of swedes last year and it looked like a crop of charlock, if they’d hand rouged it or gone along with a garden rake between the rows when I told them it would have been clean but it was wall to wall charlock again

Yes but it is the same thing with all these residual products you don’t always get the moisture in spring.
