My new grass seeds have a lot of this in it . Is it a weed or a new nitrogen fixing high yielding clover . Probably the former. This is a five year ley with white clover in it we have never seen this before so wondered if we have sown it!!

Little Mouse-eared Chickweed, by the looks of it.

Depending who is talking, it's either something you beat back with chemicals that set back your new clover, or a useful plant with medicinal value for humans and ruminants alike .

We grow it to help treat my wife's psoriasis, it's either that, or methotrexate (chemo drugs)

Was going to say just mow it

To cold here at the moment, grass has stopped dead in its tracks.
I'd wait until you get a bit of warmth/growth, then give it a tidy-up with the mower.

Otherwise it'll possibly get away in front of the grass, again; it grows right through the winter in our herb garden (raised planter on a concrete patio), so obviously doesn't need much heat to fire up

Seems like it's everywhere this year . Predominantly silage fields . Even fields that where sprayed for docks last year and overseeded with new grass seed in the autumn.

Neighbours fields all in a similar state.... My fileds it seems to be where soil is shallow and where burns in the summer it's growing the worst.

Wondered weather its thrives on compacted soils or high p/k soils as grazing fields are free of it 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️
