Weekend Farmers Forecast: Rain in west -Snow in east

Still some wintry showers in the north, but a lot of dry weather too, with some sunny spells but cold still with overnight frost and ice. wet weather affecting central and southern areas at times though, perhaps with some sleet or a little snow on highest ground. Highs of 6C/43F in the SW.

Sunday

Wet and windy will spread north and east this preceded by a spell of snow, especially across northern, eastern England and Scotland with perhaps several centimetres of snow in places before it turns to rain later in the day. All areas ending Sunday much milder than of late, with mist and low cloud later . Highs 3C/37F rising to 10C/50F from the SW later.
