Wednesday 19-9-18 Severe weather warning for the weekend

Very windy with Severe gales, gusts of 60/70 mph affecting much of Ireland and the north, with rain also into Scotland and northern Ireland this morning, heavy at times although clearing much of Northern Ireland by early afternoon with a few bright spells here later. Breezy elsewhere but a good deal of dry weather, just a few spots of light rain could affect southern England. The afternoon sees the rain clear from eastern Scotland only to be replaced by heavy showers in the west with the gales continuing here. Drier weather follows behind the rain band. Highs at 23C/73F

Heads up for the weekend ex Hurricane Florence is likely to cross the Atlantic Arriving this weekend when it could deepen again bringing very heavy rain even to the SE and winds up to 90MPH we will keep you updates at metjeffuk.com
