Well that was a chilly week! More cool weather at the weekend and early next week, just some hints of a warm up later.

High pressure remains in control of the weather through Saturday and is expected to be centred somewhere close to northeast England. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry weather with it.
There may be some fog at first, especially through more central and northern parts of England and Wales together with much of Scotland and Northern Ireland. This should slowly lift.
Then for most there will be broken cloud through the day with some brighter spells. Always rather misty for many areas. A risk of some lower cloud and drizzle affecting the far southwest of England with a risk of a shower over eastern Ireland.
Winds E-ESE 10-12kt 9F3-F4) in southern England and Wales, although 15-17kt (F4-F5) in the southwest and across southern Ireland. S 8-12kt (F2-F3) in Scotland.
SUNDAY

The area of high pressure drifts to the east on Sunday as a moderate to fresh east to southeast flow sets in over southern England.
There could be some fog patches across northern England and Scotland at first, although these lifting.
Further south it will be breezier and there are hints that skies could be clearer. It should be a fair day with some decent spells of sunshine.
Little change during the day for all.
Winds E-ESE 15-20kt (F4-F5) in the south, E 8-10kt (F2-F3) northern England and S 5-8kt (F2) in Scotland.
