It's been a week of contrasts for many; cloud and mist for some, sunshine and chillier weather for others. The weekend looks very similar.

SATURDAY

High pressure remains to the east of the country through Saturday bringing plenty of dry weather.
Eastern areas are likely to be seeing most of any cloud through the day, although it will be breaking here allowing some bright spells to come through. The best of the sunshine is likely to be in the west where Northern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and southern England are likely to be best placed.
Some cloud for western and southern Ireland as well as southwest England, and the chance of some drizzle in the far west too.
Winds SE 7-10kt (F2-F3) for most but SE 12-15kt (F3-F4) in Ireland and more S'ly in western Scotland.

SUNDAY
------------
The area of high pressure stays east again on Sunday. Weak fronts may trouble the far northwest of Scotland and the far southwest of England. Here there will be more cloud and the chance of an odd spot of rain or drizzle. Mostly dry in Ireland too but again more cloud here and the chance of some spots of drizzle. Drier for much of England, Wales and the rest of Scotland with cloud being broken and a few bright spells coming through. perhaps not so bright for many as it will be Saturday.
Winds SE 7-10kt (F2-F3) in the south, SW 7-10kt (F2-F3) further north and west but SW 15kt (F4 occ F5) in northern Scotland.
