An area of low pressure passes north through Ireland on Saturday. Fronts surrounding the low brings thundery rain to Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and southern England through the morning, most of the rain in the west. Probably drier in the north and east at first, although cloud increasing here with some showers later.
Drier and fresher weather with broken cloud follows through southern Ireland, Wales and southern England late morning and into the afternoon.
Rain reaches Scotland in the afternoon, heaviest in western Scotland.
Winds variable 18-20kt (F5-F6) around the low, perhaps W 25-30kt (F6-F7) on the southern side of the low for a time. Becoming W 15-20kt (F5) in southern ares later.
SUNDAY

The small area of low pressure clears northern Scotland on Sunday morning. An occluded front brings some showers through Scotland, most in the north and west.
A ridge of high pressure extends through Ireland, Wales and much of England bringing a dry day with broken cloud, although there could be some morning mist and fog patches.
The far south of England sees increasing cloud bringing some outbreaks of rain during the day as the Channel becomes increasingly clogged with low cloud, fog, rain and drizzle.
Winds NE 10-15kt (F3-F4) in the far south, W 20-25kt (F5-F6) in the far north, variable 8-12kt (F3-F4) in between but with sea breezes forming,
