Saturday
=========
An area of low pressure is going to be centred to the west of Scotland on Saturday. An occluded front from western Scotland to northern Ireland bringing some showery outbreaks of rain here. A southwest flow affects all areas and apart from a few showers on western coasts and hills it should be a mostly dry afternoon with sunny spells.
A front extends through the Channel edging slowly northwards. There will be cloud and outbreaks of rain moving onto southern coasts by late morning. This area of rain then edges northwards into the afternoon and becomes heavy at times across southern England. Visibility will be deteriorating as the rain arrives.
Winds SW 15-18kt (F3-F4) but 20-25kt (F5-F6) in western Scotland and the north and west of Ireland.
Sunday

Low pressure dominates again across the UK and Ireland. A small low clears away from eastern casts of England on Sunday morning, taking rain with it. Becoming brighter in eastern parts of Scotland and England through the day with sunny spells and mostly dry weather.
To the west there will be troughs passing east, these bringing bands of showers with them, some of those heavy at times. A risk of thunderstorms too.
Winds mainly SW 20-28kt (F5-F6) nearer SW 15-20kt (F4) in Scotland.
