High pressure influences the country, bringing a fair day to most places. Variable cloud, but there should be a good deal of
sunshine, generally best in the east & north-east. The south-west could stay dull with murk around the coasts. Chance of an
afternoon shower for central England & Wales. Winds generally light. Fronts bring a risk of patchy rain to north-west
Scotland, and a fresh south-westerly breeze. Highs 17 to 19C north-west, 21 to 23C Midlands, 25C far south. Winds variable
F2-F3 (5-10kt), local sea breezes F4 (11-15kt). In north-west Scotland, SW F5-F6 (17-25kt).
Sunday

Slack pressure across Britain and Ireland. Expect some warm sunshine, and many places will stay dry all day. A risk of
thundery showers breaking out, mainly in the south, which may merge into an organised cluster of thunderstorms for
southern England later. Fronts bring outbreaks of rain to western parts of Scotland & Ireland. Winds mostly very light, but
breezy in the far north. Highs 17 to 21C north & west, 22 to 25C south & east. Winds S-SW or variable, F2-F4 (5-15kt), local
