I seem to remember years ago seeing an old black and white movie on TV, a comedy set in a hospital. It could have been one of those Dirk Bogarde / James Robertson Justice 'Doctor in The House ', or even one of the early "Carry On" films. Anyway in one scene the surgeon is asking a male patient how he got injured. The patient explains that he worked in a timber yard and he backed into a circular saw and " it got me right in the er....er...um "
"Rectum?" Quizzes the surgeon " Well it didn't do them any good" replies the patient. How did that one get past the censors in those far off days?
