I have used Allweigh (Northants) for load bars ---excellent for sheep no experience with the larger ones for cattle
Recently upgraded my weighhead and new Truetest bars would be about £500 each ---mine are £75 each and have lasted 12 years so far

Good service

Of course you sit the crush on weigh bars....it’s the only way you can do it.
Just make the ground is level and check each time before weighing a batch with a weight block to check it’s accurate

Use a very level "something" if you haven't a concrete slab to sit them on. We used a couple of sheets of that crappy "weetbix" flooring stuff but thick ply would be better/ last longer

Depends, really, on how accurately you need to weigh them as to how well you need to sit the weighbars, if it's just for a rough weigh then they'll work fine on solid flat ground.

We've had Tru-Test here for the last seven or eight years and been very pleased until one went wrong in the spring. We sent it back to their repair place somewhere in Scotland (via Batemans who supplied the crush) on the 6th of May and as yet despite emails and phone calls we have had no news of it. So be careful on after sales care because we ain't very pleased.

Allied weighing do weigh bars for under the crush, and a platform for in the crush.
The platform is great for quieter cattle and can be used to weigh other things to as it is a removable bit of kit. It is not so good for lims and more flighty cattle however, although not impossible.
I would recommend the weigh bars bolted under the crush for flighty cattle

Now I understand why you asked what type of cattle I have earlier in the thread :ROFLMAO:. I was wondering why it was relevant.

I’ve a mix of fat herefords, skinny jerseys and laid-back sussex so I should be ok!

Happy to help if still needed, if we can't will be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks

Can my weigh cell Bluetooth platform talk to the Ilivestock app on my phone? Not tried it as allied are with farm matters (which I use) but would be good if it can talk to iPhone.
