Weigh crate transport

Is it ok to transport a lamb weigh crate lying on its side?

I don't always want to use a trailer, and the crate will not fit standing up in back of pickup.

Advice welcome.

Thanks

Transported mine on its side plenty of times with the old mechanical (IAE) weigh head with no adverse affects. Recently converted to the electronic weigh head from @Allied Weighing and a lot more careful with it now! Incidentally has anyone with a prattley type system made an adapter to allow the weigher to be transported on the back of the base unit?

I've seen a few pictures of them being transported on the back... I think Bank Farm - Rappa have done a few?

I picked up the brackets yesterday from Rappa to fit my weigh crate on the back of my yard. Rappa say it will make the yard very back heavy and don't suggest taking it long distances on the road, but we only want to take it along the farm track or across a couple of fields so should be ok.

Any chance you could put a photo up when you have it set up, interested to see what it looks like.

Thanks
