Welcome to Farmdeals

Over the next week you will receive information about how to download the App and start testing Farmdeals.

If we could use this area for feedback on the system that would be great.

Thank you all for being part of this trial of Farmdeals.

I’ve saved about £30 today on a 7000lt gas oil and kerosene order

That’s great news @Wheatland the long term aim is that if we can get a few farmers in the same area to buy on the same day we can combine your buying power and get you all an even better deal. But glad to hear are base prices are pretty good too.

I know it’s early days for you guys but today for 4000-5000l red diesel and 3000-4000l kero there was no difference between one of your suppliers and our normal source. Your other supplier was more expensive. I’ve not ordered yet but will do tomorrow. Interestingly one of your suppliers we stopped using a few years ago due to a number of things and the other is quite local yet a lot more expensive.
As said early days but as effectively a national buying group the prices have to be cheaper than what we’re paying now for any input otherwise we might as well just buy direct.

We haven;t been able to do any price comparison yet, so If we are in the right region that is good. Plus only limited suppliers right now. As said above, the aim is to group demand on the day to mean the price shown is the maximum price you pay, with our aim to better that price during trading. So there can only be an upside to trading through Farmdeals. Obviously we need lots of farmers to make that bit work.

We are not really started yet, more suppliers to be onboarded yet and the app not quite ready to launch (next week now hopefully)

with that in mind, I'm quite chuffed that FarmDeals managed to at least match your existing supplier (and knowing you are a good buyer who will have already sought out the cheapest deal !)

A good start considering we have not actually started official yet really :)

Thanks for giving it a chance, when this is big you will be able to tell your grandchildren that you were the first transaction !

watch out for an email about downloading and installing the app next week

So after a bit of hassle Thursday and Friday with one of your suppliers not knowing anything about Farmdeals initially because their staff member dealing with it wasn’t at work, we managed to place a Kero order for Monday delivery and then on Monday after a bit of paperwork we should be able to place a red diesel order. As said price for kero was the same as existing supplier so it’s a step in the right direction.

Glad it worked out in the end, when the app is ready (this week !!) there will be no hassle dealing with anyone then and it should all happen automatically

prices should get better and better as more use it and we get more suppliers on board, fuel is only our "soft" start - hopefully buy March / April we will have ag chem, seed, and fert suppliers

Thanks for supporting it and helping to get the ball rolling

“Dear Farmdeals member/follower, we trust and hope you are well. It is fair to say we are all operating in difficult times. It is for this reason we are, in truth, behind in our efforts to launch the Farmdeals platform. We have been working closely with numerous fuel suppliers and hope to start trialling the app over the coming weeks with our “test farmers”. Other commodities will become available as we progress throughout 2021 and away from the intrusion of Covid-19. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved for their patience and look forward to more productive times. Kindest regards from all those at Farmdeals." #staysafe

I was wondering about this as I have been holding off buying diesel hoping to trial your site however can wait much longer and then it will be late March before I need any more .

Hi Oscar, please let me know your requirements. We are hopefully launching next Wednesday however I can work on your behalf behind the scenes as I have for other test members. Covid definitely checked our progress but very nearly there now. Please email [email protected] with details and I will do my best to get you a great deal. All the best David

Hi @Steevo can you be more specific about the suppliers, maybe a bug as we have moved from beta test to live ? Any feedback appreciated. KR David
