Been a couple of times now, worked for a farmer called Mike Lindsay who had a farm at Pleasant Point and one at Twizel. Got a few shots of Mount Cook and the mountains around it from the cab of an old Massey combine, puts ours to shame. Must try getting them off the old phones memory card.

no, Urrard is just across the glen from one bit of the farm. Been sold loafs of times recently. How much are they asking?

As a child I walked the bridge just north of there, a few days before the dual carriageway opened. Stayed in a B&B at I think Old Faskally House. I see they've got some trees at the end of their garden now to shield the road noise.

The noise from the road is sickening. All day and all night it goes on now. Even Christmas day and the 1st of January which was almost bare of cars are now just as busy. Was up behind old faskally a couple of weeks ago. Dont think theres a b and b there now. I was at school in killiecrankie when they were building the by pass. I can remember the day when the dumper landed on the railway line way way below where it was working.

I feel your pain with the road noise. We have it too - we are a bit closer to the A9 than your place, but perhaps not as much of a hill.
