Hi everyone. I have bought a Welger RP 220 Master with 7000 bales on the clock. Have heard that the netting system can be a pain. What nett is the best to use? John Deere? There is full set of knives with it and i was thinking if i shoud sharpen them? Never run a Baler before so any tips will be appreciated. Thanks

If it’s set up well the net system on that should work with any net. There is a very good video on YouTube that covers the basics, maybe get a new knife for it cos it is an old baler and the knife is probably rusty, not expensive.Mine used to work perfect with Rondotex,I’m not a fan of Tama,(massively over priced)who make JD net and many others tho it should work well with that.

You tube how to set the net brake, simple job…new knife….have a good look at the knife anvil…any signs of wear turn it to a new face..
When baling make there isn‘t any build up of dry grass or straw where the net feeds in …
Jobs a good un.

Had my baler man out this morning, seems fine buy him, only think the net l bought the cardboard at the ends was wasted buy water, so couldn't test the netter or cutting bar, so has to come back next week for that. But went over rollers etc, happy so far. Needs a new foam roller aswell.

Finally it's happened, it worked.
